Kerry: Copenhagen is key

Ahead of the Copenhagen conference, scheduled for late 2009, John Kerry is urging a ‘complete and collaborative transformation of the global energy economy.’ Writing in the Huffington Post, he argues that:

China and America — the world’s largest emitter today and history’s largest cumulative emitter — have a special responsibility. The crucial question is: can America and China forge a partnership capable of acting boldly enough to prevent a climate catastrophe? Science tells us, the answer had better be “yes.”
